Stephen Gill, Buried
DAAP's copy is number 419 of 750. The photo-graphs in this book were taken in Hackney Wick and later buried there. The amount of time the images were left underground varied depending on the amount of rainfall. The depths that the pictures were buried at also varied, as did their positioning. London: Nobody Books, 2006.

I really enjoyed Stephen Gill's photos. By having the images buried and then dug up again allowed you to see how nature has an artistic expression of its own. The water marks and smeared ink from some of the images added an abstract element.
